Devlog
Hello everyone,
Around 3 days ago I started working on this project. I did not know what would come of it, wheter or not it would be fun and if I finish something on time for the Goedware Game Jame #2. As you're reading this, we did finish something and I think we can be proud of it.
I (Jael137) made the art, design and code, while SleepyUFOmade the music for the game.
The theme for the jam was fragile, this was fun yet challenging. I didn't settle on an idea until 3 days ago.
The game is based around the physics, which seems simple at first glance, as I used the unity game engine with it's built-in physics.
But it wasn't simple. It started out great but as the tower got higher the physics got worse. Objects would randomly fall or clip through each other. After thinking for a while about the solution, I came up with freezing objects that were in place after a while. As you play the game you probably wouldn't have noticed this, but playing the same game without that feature made a huge impact on the gameplay.
I teamed up with SleepyUFO. He made the music and came up with the awesome idea of raising the pitch of the music as the tower got taller.
That's all for this devlog. If you have any questions, post them in the comments. I'll try to answer them all.
Thanks for playing - Jael137 & SleepyUFO
